yeah - but I got talked around on the fact that the Emperor could have a good inner court to assist him if required

the duties are very ceremonial

mainly the role is to be available for the Emperor - assist him if he requires it

the Consuls are the Previous Emperor, and the two Senators that will take up the roll after the current Emperor has finished his duties
