Ok, we have completely work through the list, so we are cycling back through these great Roman Families, thus allowing them to again put forth a member of their family to lead our mighty nation.

I can hardly keep up with reading all the new the threads around this game. You're working on the double Paddy
Is this the follow up on the succession game we're allready playing with cube, modo and beta? I allready spotted a strategy thread, what is the idea here? Is the emperor in charge to be advised by the senate or is the choice of the senate the deciding power?

A footnote,
The game has a maximum of 130 turns and each emperor is proposed to rule for 10 turns. Wouldn't it be either a better idea to rule for a shorter period of time (5 turns), or close the entries on emperors. At least restrict the number of entries to 13...

I think it's ok to have the senate have a review obver what's going on in between emperors and provide the new emperor with their thoughts. It's up to him what to do with it. Maybe we could think of some time frames of reaction time. Say 36 hours to play and post, if not able to, next in line to play, and then retry after that person. Then 36 hours of discussion and back to 36 hours of playing.
I understand this is really fast and we might miss out on a lot of discussion, but that might also be a bit of a benefit. The senate are to be advisors and we are to learn from each other and our mistakes. Further more this way the fast pace of the game might be interesting. 5 turns in 3 days. With a max of 130 turns, we're finished within 78 days (and ready for the next challenge). Because of having quite a few people in the senate, there will always be a few available to advise and it won't be a problem if someone misses out on a few days. If we agree upon a schedule of play, we can also make that schedule and add it to the first post. If we then see it coming we can't make our reign period, we can also change places beforehand and be ready to take up the save when the reign has come.
