ok, with the amount of turns, we have discussed that each Emperor gets 5 turns to play in one hit, before handing over the throne,

so how long do the get to play their turn?

1.5 days of playing and 1.5 days of discussion was not an option so I chose 1 day. I'd go with 2 as well and 2 days of discussion. I'd like to keep the game at the highest speed possible.

ahhh

do you not think that that is a tad fast for allowing people to get together and chat about issues

this is a different game to pbem afterall

I say 5 days. 1 day is way to short and 3 days would probably be just a little too fast if a bigger discussion comes up.

well I say 7 days

this allows each Emperor, and the Senate the privilige of a weekend for all to be played, and all discussed

ok, some will knock their 5 turns over quickly

I'd like to play more to the side of the succession game we're allready playing. Allthough Cube is now taking quite some time, I like(d) the game pace. With all the emperors you'd only have little play time available. All the extra time you have, can be spend on advising.

and I don't think everyone should wait until his week is over to play the turns

The way I understand it, it will not be required to wait with playing. It is more a safety net, so that being away wouldn't kick a player out of the game. And players like myself will surely bust the 5 turns in no time, once the discussion is done.

What I don't have is a 8AM-3PM kind of job. That helps plan my time as I see fit. Nobody said I can't take a break from translating, when a new save arrives.

The short period of time I have voted for is too short on second thought. I would like to maintain a high pace, but I can see there's too much democracy for such a short time frame. 7 day periods are fine I guess. What about having the discussions during the week and giving the emperor the weekend to play the turns (therefore closing polls on friday evening)?

well that could put a hampener on various players for who may have commitments then

but an interesting point that we should discuss

alternatively, it could be up to the Emperor when he plays his turn and then there must be a time of discussion etc before the next Emperor lays his component

this could stop us from just blitzing through the game

and having little to no participation etc

I was definately planning for my term as Emperor in a few months to play the turns on a weekend.

That is if we don't win it before turn 55.
