Still runs Jaguar, but that's not so bad.

Firefox is excellent. I love it. Once you try Firefox you'll never want to go back to IE. However, since Firefox doesn't work on all websites, you still have to use IE once in a while. The next Netscape will be a fusion of Firefox and IE.

Are you trolling, or do you have any idea of what you are talking about?

I've had one kernel panic (an OS X crash) in 4 years of using the system. And that kernel panic was with version 10.0. My computer stays on 24/7 – I should really count the uptime.

It's actually extremely difficult to **** up a mac. You have to jump through hoops to change the system files because both ordinary users and admins don't have permissions to do so. Unlike Windows, where the admin account allows you to wreak havoc. The easiest way of screwing the thing up is probably to install some non-standard RAM. But you'd need to physically open the computer to do that, and if you're prepared to do that, you might as well open it up and piss in it for good measure.

My wife can't make OS X crash. Case closed.

How to **** up Windows.

1) Turn on.

2) Connect to the internet.

3) Brace yourself.

The Mac OS of today is completely different from the one you used in the late 90s (probably system 7 or 8).

Today's Mac OS only shares the name with Systems prior to 9. OS X is basically NeXTSTEP with a more mac-like GUI.

If you'd used NeXTSTEP in the early 90s, you would have been using something far better than both mac and windows in the late 90s.

What, XP?

I got an old G4 Cube, did a wipe and a clean install of Panther on it.

I was able to crash it three times in less than thirty minutes. This is doing normal things, like opening and closing programs and installing things.

:shrugs:

Operating Systems, like cars, have their mileage vary depending on who's using it.

I can make linux crash any time I want to as well--the fact that I haven't had an unintensional crash for Windows XP, Linux, and OS X in years might point out something, Aggie.
