So what's wrong with joke elections (aside from them being popularity contests)? Given that no matter who gets "elected," Dan and Mark, as well as their lackies, still have all the power, it makes no difference who claims to be what.

The problem is, it usually gets out of hand... the last time, too many threads... spilled over into the on topic forums... just plain silly and stupid.

If this thread was about electing a president of Apoyton, it would be toast... but since it is just a who we would vote for president of the US...it's OK

Actually, the original intention was for President of the US. (or other foriegn country) thus I picked posters with distinct political views, not distinct 'poly personalities (though some of that was included too).

I didn't say "President of US" cause I figured it'd be too Amercentric. And I didn't say "President of the US, or whichever nation you happen to live in or prefer to vote towards" cause it was too PC and wimpy. So I just left it ambiguous.

We will aggressively pursue alternative energy sources with renewed vigor, not just with words.

Basically my goal is to take a Clintonesqe "not f anything up" so as to repair the deep damage that has occured, and to keep the ship running. I would say balancing the budget may be an unrealistic goal in a first term, but setting the stage to get wreckless spending under control is a good first step.

My leadership will be to keep it simple, and get things back to normal.

I actually voted for Alexander's Horse and would ask him to join my administration as my Secretery of State.
