	CDG's Abandonment issues Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Like a house of cards, CDG is collapsing without a fight - they've just disbanded another two cities, leaving just Zarigueya, Minnesota (expected to be abandoned next turn, before we can strike) and a Galley....

Only their capitol has any culture. It just stinks that it has to go down this way, but so be it.

They are going to turtle and try to pop some more galleys and settlers.

We are going to have issues with the "floating settler" routine.

We need to keep moving ever closer in for the kill and just keep pursueing.

And move whatever curraghs we have nearby to the coast off of Zari.

Minnesota would auto-raize anyway, so if they want to abandon it, that's fine.

As for the cities with 2+ pop, this abandoning is why I wanted a lose 50 city rule auto-lose the game rule. (Prohibits all forms of abandoning cities)

Their road network also leaves much to be desired for movement purposes. It's useless to both them and us until Enginnering.

Personally, I think in future demo games, we ought to push for an outright ban on abandoning and gifting cities. It hurts a few legit uses, but really all I've seen them do in these demo games is totally suck the life out of the game. Instead of having a war where both sides try to hold onto the cities, one side perceived to be losing just razes everything out of spite and runs.
