Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

Hmm. You shouldn't need any sort of conversion software. All I do is download the map, unstuff it (if necessary), open up the map editor, then open the file via the editor and, presto!, the map's there.

Support Apolyton

thatīs the f**king situation iīm in.

those files are often ".mp" or ".map.mp" and if i start the map editor i canīt open these files (i can`t even find them in the open dialog box).

all i see when i start map editor are three sizes where i can choose from or a function to size my own map - that`s it.

if i open a map there i see only the unendless and wide sea...nothing more.

hope you know now what my problem is

greetz from africa...

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

You're doing something wrong.

I just went to the Apolyton downloads section and downloaded the Eurasia.mp file. I proceeded to start the Civ II map editor, selected the world size (large, in this case, although I doubt it matters since all it does is generate the standard blank map). I get the blank, base map that you get. You then go to "file," select "open map" and then navigate to where you downloaded the map. Select it, choose "open" and it should come up in your editor. Mine did. I see Eurasia in all its glory. Proceed to "save map as" and rename it to your heart's content and stow it away in whatever folder serves as your map folder.

I don't know what else to tell you.
