new anti-dp measure? Increase Your PM Length

I've found that if I post the same thing twice in a row in one thread, even if it's outside the 30-second rule, it simply doesn't appear. Is this new?

No, its been that way for a while. Although it can be a problem in picture threads where you don't actually have things to say. Each post has to have different content, even posting the same thing you did 12 posts under with a different picture will result in the post not being made.

Ibelieve that in server hichups the first post sometimes are not yet inserted in the database when the second is posted, and therefore will not match for the DP protection.

Well, I don't think the situation as described by Skanky sounds right. If this measure has been in place for a while and goes back 12 posts almost every turn tracking thread would be affected, and they aren't.

My guess is that you are all right if there are some posts between your 'sent' posts.

Yeah, thats what I meant to say. Not that I tested that aspect thoroughly. My testing was based on my posts in Ixnay's picture thread - I posted a whole heap of pictures and had to keep changing the message content to get the next picture to attach to a post.
