QB rating of 37 on the year, I believe. Why the **** are they still starting him? It's the most bullshit decision I have ever seen. They are singlehandedly propelling themselves out of the playoffs, and because they keep losing Tiki Barber isn't getting me good fantasy numbers anymore.

opponents are stacking the line against Tiki. Until Eli proves he can win a game passing, opponents will continue to do this.

That's what makes this even more horrible. Opposind defenses are playing against the run, yet he still can't do anything in the passing game.

Although I must say their defense looks worse. They actually had a good defense when they beat the Vikings. What happened? Perhaps they are on the field too long because of the lack of running game.

I love this Falcons are overrated claptrap. They are all silent when the Falcons go on tears, but then when every once in a while they drop a game badly, the haters all come out . Last I heard they are still 9-3 and need 1 more win to come out 1st in the division. Also they've beaten both San Diego and Denver, who no thinks are overrated teams.

They just had a bad game. They beat this same team a few weeks back.

Furthermore for Plummer being 'overrated'. Before today's game: He had 2,751 yards passing and a passer rating of 91.7. He also had 22 TDs to 11 Ints. They lost because of bad luck, ie, the bounce the ball took off of Rod Smith's hands on that INT.

After watching today it seems to me that Tampa had a bad game a few weeks back, not Atlanta today.

Atlanta gets most of its wins from easy teams. No doubt it's 2nd best in the NFC right now, but ATL would be lucky to make the playoffs in the AFC.

Atlanta just doesn't inspire confidence. They are a bit too unpredictable. It is hard to generate consistent reasons for their running game and wins while their losses just leave you scratching your head. How is it that a defense that looks really good one week looks really bad another week? Because they are in the NFC, they have a chance to surprise Philly and make it to the Superbowl. However, if they were in the AFC, I wouldn't give them a chance to make it to the Superbowl and they would be struggling to make the playoffs.

Hard to generate consistent reasons for their running game? Before this week they were #1 in Rushing Yards and Rushing Yards Per Game and in Rushing Yards Per Carry. After this week they'll still be #1 (they outrushed Pittsburgh this week). I don't think it hard to generate consistent reasons for their running game at all.

And that is the reason for their wins. Their losses (especially KC and Tampa) seem to be losses of confidence, when they get away from what made them successful and doubt themselves. But they came back masterfully from the KC debacle, and they'll do it again.

He threw for about that much too, if he's as good as you claim, then it must have been a better defense that won.

Atlanta is not a power running team. You cannot point at their O-line and say they will consistently blow people off the ball. A good portion of their running yards come from Vick scrambles. These yards are just not predictable. Sometimes Vick runs for 80 yards and they are key to the win. Today, he ran for over 80 yards and they couldn't score a point.

The Falcons are also undefeated against winning teams giving them a great record. And the Falcons are #1 in the division, even though they don't score the points others may. They do well in clutch situations and have a good defense.

A lot of Vick's rushing is built into the game plan. Most of his runnings yards are from designed QB draws or run/pass option plays.

Not often. With Vick runs for over 50 yards they Falcons are something like 12-2, with the the 2nd loss coming today.

Oh so, Utah is a better team than Cal, Michigan, Miami, Florida State?

True, Atlanta will go to the playoffs, but Tampa will be them 7 out of 10 times.
