Tired of ads?

The Max Payne games are fantastic. Despite being linear games, I find them to be very replayable, due to the sheer slickness.

They run well on my clapped-out PC, a nice bonus.

Suffering from ads?

I've played both to completion, very nice and just the right length for a FPS in my opinion.

I did not care for the dream sequences although they seemed worse in 1.

yeah..and where you gotta walk that LSD dream along the croked pathway..was almost real for me and me past..

But would like to just be able to skip past and avoid playing them

One thing I would like to see is in Max Payne a "Tango" mode where you have nothing to do but wipe out the bad guys without a storyline to do..

still very decent gameplay

Doesn't 2 have a stay alive as long as you can mode? I think I remember trying it.

I played the first one for about an hour. That's more than most shooters hold my attention. Is that saying something?

The action isn't bad, but I just don't like these games. They are built around one not that interesting gimmick. The sequel is admittedly better than the first game, but too short.

Erm... I'm not sure what you're asking. Still, you can blast through the first game really easily if you fire the sniper rifle from the hip.

Inflate your Upload Space

It's means there is one path through the game, with no scope for player choices to change the experience much. However, criticisms of FPS games being linear are largely silly in my opinion.
