Where are people getting this news about servers crashing from?

I've had no problems at all with WoW, it's a fantastic game, graphics are great, gameplay is as addictive as when I first played Civilization 1. This game is driving me crazy - I don't want to stop playing it!

A big thanks to Blizzard for this!

In the past months I had Doom 3, San Andreas, Halo 2 and Half Life 2. Out of all of them, Half Life 2 comes out on top, (with San Andreas a close second, just a shame its on a PS2). But WoW clearly stands out in front of them all. That's how good it is.

The only real problem with servers is that the popular servers have queues, but this isn't really a problem unless your clan happens to have chosen the most popular servers. I decided to forget about my clan and go on a server with low load.
I'm playing Horde characters on Pacific Bronzebeard, my best is a lvl21 Troll Shaman.

Oh, and servers go down for maitenance at night.

Had my first massive faction battle last night on Argent Dawn. About 30 or so Horde invaded Sentinal Hill, only to be met by about 50 Alliance defenders. Unfortunately, the lag absolutely killed the battle. I think I got in 2 actual hits the entire time. The lead up was fun, but the actual conflict needed some work.

On another note, I think I'm going to stop reading their forums... it reminds me why I hate most people who play games online

Why cant they have a simultaneous global release in the days of Internet There ARE people in Europe too!

Anyway, I'm still not bored of WW2OL, so that's where my 13$ will go for a while. That game was released 3 years ago, and it's not until now that it's starting to look really good. They will make a new retail release in a few months, so that the player base will probably multiple (which is really needed).
