It sounds like the Civ4 list will be wrapped up soon and some people think it's time for ideas to be for Civ5. Which ideas are good but won't have any chance of being in Civ4? Which could be in expansions? Which would have to wait for Civ5? What new ideas do you have for Civ4 expansions or Civ5? Would we need endorsement from Firaxis before starting a Civ5 list? Would ideas for expansions be submitted similarly to the current list?
Does a game need more details for fewer civs to be a sequel? Or can other things take the place of this? In the past I have expressed a desire to have every civ ever in a civ game eventually, but I guess there would be sure to be some that some people would wish were in but weren't, like maybe the Picts. Different people would include and exclude different peoples in what they would want.
I would want expansions to be mostly scenarios, which would include many more civs, which could easily be ported to the main game. I would want each expansion to have more scenarios than in any single Civ2 or Civ3 expansion, but naturally not all of the civs in the scenarios would be new.

Lets wait and see what Civ4 looks like first.

If Civ4 is cIV, shouldn't Civ5 be ciV then? ;-)

Civ4 and Civ5 look better to me.

I guess that much delay won't make much difference to me. Jan06 certainly wouldn't mean more likelyhood of List ideas trickling into the game. But since they've been working on it and it's all theirs now, I don't understand why the schedule would necessarily change.

Yep, I already put a copyright on it
I don't think that the Civ franchise will be changed all around, by Firaxis said "1/3 same, 1/3 same but better, 1/3 new". And the new part will be on the line of simple and efficient, adding to fun-factor, user-friendly.
That's why I think that the List could be adapted to this somehow. It does not stop others to discuss the whole issues, but maybe a part should aim at "simple and efficient", which is not about Apolytonian demand, but about something for everyone to appreciate (serious history/civ fans as casual gamers).

Civ10. Riiiiight. I think Civ5 is far enough until shortly after Civ4 is released, thank you very much. But Civ as a flagship for a console would be cool, maybe a handheld, maybe one with a much bigger screen, and of course I would want to play it linked with another handheld... But FPS? Riiiight. How could you possibly call it Civ?

Why not Civ for digital watches, too? ;-)

Are there any ancient historical FPS? Like Roman or whatever? I just would't feel as good about buying Civ4 if it had FPS.
