First and foremost Im a firm believer in the Cripple Carthage first policy.

Take note in the turn thread and the startegy thread, the current disposition of our forces. To summarize, most of them are down south, and the time is right to cripple Crthage, secure our south and then move north west.

Think about this logically, and please use logic in your arguements here.

Dont forget the little village in northen gaul, event when they are surrounded by 4 roman camps they refuse to give up.

Right or wrong, peace has been granted to the barbarian Celts. They have gifted us with two cities, new Roman citizens that must be protected. Peace in the northlands will help secure these new cities.

We must cripple Carthage now. Once that is done we can decide if Carthage is worthy of peace with us, or extinction. Please note that if you accidentally destroy Carthage in the next 25 - I will not hold it against you, my Mighty Emperor.

Let's unite with carthage. We cah get their most important buildings (brick by brick) and rebuild them in Rome. After this Carthage will be truy a part of Rome

On the serious side, I suggest cripple Carthage then visit old Paddy's tavern
After this cripple or destroy the celts and go party again.
After the second party we should look who has the best around and join his party

I voted to destroy Carthage first. I mean to say, sack the capital, Carthage, which probably comes down to crippling them. After the islands of the Italian coast have been assimilated into the Roman empire, I plea for peace.

Snag the capitol (or sack it) and have them BEGGING for Peace.

Effectively remove them as a threat, then go

I am assuming all this "peace with Carthage" stuff is Roleplaying..as unless the Scenario is modified Rome is in Locked War with Carthage....

There is a small contingent of Legionaires up there that can more than provide enough security.

Im also thinking we should build two cities north of massila to fill up that river valley and deny the REXing space to the celts.

yep, no problem.

Im probably going to send a Legionaire north to look around and play "delay the settler" with the Celts until we can get some citizens up there.

There is also a Luxury north of massila, I want to get my hands on. I cant remember which one buts its one of two you need for bacchanalia if we want to get that one. And morre Luxs are better as we begin to max out in Pop.
