Turn 196, 800 AD Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

We finished Chemistry this turn and started work on Metalurgy.

CFC put 100 gold on the table and i sent back our WM as "accepted"; hopefully they will accpet and we will have that 100 gold next turn as we are still running a deficit (-19 per turn) but still maintaining 4 turn research.

Iron was cut and many cities are making Horsemen. I'm doing some forrest chops to help out our manufacturing base and to get some of the Caravels out sooner.

Here are various screen shots taken before the end of the turn:

OMFG! Thank you BF! I was just sitting down to play this now, about an hour after these posts of yours, when I noticed you'd done it already (and sent too, I see). I was really not looking forward to doing this at first.

Did you do much reallocation of wf or anything? Specific details would be a bit much right now, I'd think, but generally what did you do?

When I opened the turn I saw we were on track for four-turn research on all of the remaining techs in the Medieval age and remembered why this game was worth it. I will look at it in the time I was going to play and have a few suggestions for next turn posted.

Yes, I made some WF changes. I also made a few changes to current builds and decided new builds for cities which completed items.

I'm sorry I don't have the time (or the inclination) to make a detailed report as to what exactly the state of every citizen in every city is in.

I know no one (or at least I hope so ) is asking me or another Consul to do that at this point. I'm just happy (sort of) that the game is moving agian. Maybe once it gets going again and more people show interest more time will be devoted to it. Somehow, I've devolped a personal life over the last two months (girlfriend) and the amount of hours I have to put in at work has increased to where I put in an average of 20 hours overtime a week! I'm not complaining, just letting people know where I am with this game. I did take my time in playing the turn. It took about 1.5 hours to play it. I spent a lot of time looking at WF allocation and future forrest chops and short rushes.

I suggest that we (someone who knows) puts up a thread with our long term plans for Wonders and specific plans for cities that need to have adjustments made to them in the short term so that each and everyone knows where we are going and we are all on the same page.

Let's just do what we can and play each turn to the best of our abilities. If interest returns to this game soon, then maybe we can go back to the level of detail that Dom and ET had going on.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

As I have said previously, our best hope is to out-tech GWT/CGA and launch a major marine/arty/cav attack in the mind-late ind. age We will need a heavy sea presence once thet reach nav to guard against potential landings until then.

I would also suggest CFC land in CGA land in an attempt to get their GA triggered. Maybe not with the full force, but enough to get 1 Rider win.

CGN 40 turn research. What are they researching right now?
