What I'd like to see is the stats on the ratio of views to posts. I mean, views don't really mean much, IMO. For instance, a 1-post thread with 100 views is more worthy of attention than a 100-post thread with 1000 views. In that sense, that sign-up thread looks even more fishy - ratio of ~182.26, as opposed to the Game top list's ~13.34 (the highest ratio among the other top view threads). Even if we consider that the sign-up thread was a poll, which would in the best case double the number of views, that is still ~90 views per post. Quite odd that stat.

Also, I believe these stats are not entirely correct any way. I believe some of the original Mafia games, which are now archived and hence don't show up in the list, had over 7000 views.

Well, Mafia 7 was the first time a Mafia game had a backstory to it, which seems pretty much the custom now. Also, for Mafia 8, I changed the rules quite a bit: I had two mafias instead of 1, and also, I removed the rule of where if the mafia gets killed early on another one gets appointed, and also I added the rule where if there is a tie in votes, every person tied is executed. So maybe that's why people had to refer to the thread again. But it seems unlikely to me that that would cause such a swell in views. Of course, the posting of these stats will increase the view count even more, because people will wonder what's so interesting about that thread, and go look at it.
