I downloaded the demo.
It is much better than SE3.
It has less micromanagement, better graphics and better diplomacy.

In my five (5) attempts to download this, I ended up with files of 11.7 megs; 12 megs; 12.5 megs, 11.3 megs and 12.5 megs. Has anyone else been having problems downloading?

On the download page, they split the demo up into 13 pieces. Each piece is only 1.3 Mb. So, I recommend you download the demo piece by piece rather than all in one shot. I downloaded it piece by piece, and it works fine!

I just downloaded the demo.

It looks like it has a lot of promise. I like some of the diplomacy options, and wish something like that was incorporated into a civ game. Only problem so far is the kind of steep learning curve.

Is anyone else not able to get to that website? The main site (malfador.com) isn't coming up. It keeps saying "Forbidden."

Kyle - are you behind a firewall?? it may well be being blocked locally - I have no problem from either here (at work behind a firewall) and at home (standard ISP connection)

I have ZoneAlarm, but it's never done this before. Plus I just shut it down and it's still isn't working. If they would just put the demo out on some game sites.

I'm running BeOS right now, and it still doesn't work. With Opera or NetPositive. This is very odd.

I don't know what happened here. I d/l'd the demo on the 19th, the day after Par4 first posted his message, but now I get the same error as you when I try to access the site. Hmmm...

I think they are doing something involving the game with the publisher and beta testers online. It might be online beta testing. They said they were going to have to do publisher beta testing before the game is released.

This games is going to kick major ass. The demo is great, and amazingly enough, those 100 turns last a very long time (I'm still not done).

The best part about this game is that you can literally do as much or as little as you want in it.

I know the AI is great I was losing a war to a passive guy!! And my ally was doing better than me. He had a lot more planets and was exploring like a mad man. I can't wait to get it
