Just in case you can't download the turn from the main turn thread (I couldn't) I attached the turn that Googlie e-mailed me.
I opened it, clicked end transmission for Sparta, and looked around. I don't have much time to play with the game today. I moved nothing and rushed nothing.
At first glance, it looks like our probe was interrogated and returned from Uniland. It also looks like our probe lost the battle at RFR. We have 96 ECs and are one turn away from PEG key.

Fundy: it increases morale and probing abilities. Maybe they are just doing some probing. The only negative side it has is slower research and I they don't need research when they can trade or mooch (off an AI).
Their units will cost double to probe, a big negative for us. Anyhow a quick infiltration would answer many of our questions (kudos for hiding the foil in the fungus).
Googlie acts afraid of Yang, especially if they have a sizable border with them. They wouldn't be able to wage war on the other humans.
If there is a war, I'd say its either us or a non-Yang AI.
Attacking us now would be a good move to keep any faction from becoming to powerful. If it is an AI, we could get some leverage on them. I wouldn't be surprised if they landed troops in the Virgin Northeast and hid them in the fungus until they decided to commence action.
Thanks for rushing the CP in Morgan Mussels, now we can build some military ships.

since we have just prolonged our treaty i doubt it, on the otherside, since fundi delays tech its may be important for the beeline.
We have adapt econ next turn, so it would be a good moment to discus the tech trading towards AP, just ask for more information and ask why they have chosen for a slower research. That is not the same as asking whether who they are attacking.
btw they planned it longer ago: a few turns ago they said they needed a lot of cash, so this is where it is.

Why WOULDN'T Sparta go to war with a non-Yang AI? The non-Yangs AI are the easiest opponent (I figure the AI is pretty stupid) to fight. They grab some territory then the comp will give tribute to get peace.
I suppose the Spartans are focusing on getting the CN and CDF for now (hence their desire for immediate payment on the PK commlink).

IF there is a war with the Spartans, I'd steal tech from the Uni, or see if they'd join us. We can't fight a war without weapons tech and the Uni. is the least threatening faction we can get weapon tech from.
