Some suggestions if I don't play the save:

Let's post just a couple swords in the west, either to remove the FoW to keep barbs from spawning, or to deal with them when they do. The rest should be posted around Olympus, to deal with barbs in the north or east.

Thats on PAL's LAST turn played, so CDG has a turn to move them.

added something more to the orders - pal have requested for all our gold in order to build more galleys and to destroy CDG's galleys. They have sent silks to us accepted and want from us to send wines accepted too.
Another thing - both CDG galleys have appeared near the location of ex-Zarigueya

With PAL's lux, we can put some of our workforce back on task and get back to growing, but we would be taking them OFF tax collector duty, which may hurt our gpt even more.

After we've put our cities back to task and disbanded some of our unnecessary military, let's see how our GPT looks and see how much gold we can give PAL. My goal would be to give them 90-100g ... we'll see what we can spare.

No, we disbanded 3-4 units, but added in 2 settlers, dropping the pop down by 2 in 2 cities, and should have another settler this turn. So in 3 of 4 cities where there were pop issues, there will be a major loss in gold. We will be hurting for the next 10 turns, then again when our GA ends. WE NEED MARKETS ASAP (sorry, just had to yell - nobodys fault but mine). I would like to start disbanding swords soon in order to get olympus up and running.

In conclusion: By adjusting the WF and by disbanding 3 units, we are now down to -2gpt and Literature in 11 turns. This will improve as our cities grow and new cities are founded. I believe we are past the worst of our problems with upkeep.
