Hello everybody!
I've been playing AC for some time now, but there are two things I don't understand. I hope my questions haven't been explained anywhere else in this forum, but I couldn't find anything.
The one thing is: How can one achieve the oeconomic victory. I like to play Morgan, but when I try to control the market, a message comes up like: "We need 2300 units to control the market, but we have only 3300" (or similar) Does that make sense?
I am tired of having to build a Morgan army in the end game just to wipe the other factions off the map. Besides this works only on the easier levels. ;-) I just played a game in which it was only possible to start the control when just one enemy base was left on the map. very strange... Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?
My other question concerns transcendental victory. It happens sometimes that I complete the tech tree and build Voice of Planet but nevertheless it is impossible for me to start the Transcendence. The secret project cannot be chosen that turn or later. Not very funny after spending some hundred years researching while other factions were having fun on the battlefield!
Thank you in advance for your answers/comments!

Hello everybody
First of all thanks for your immediate answers.
To answers your suggestions: I normally play with all the victory conditions on. The example with 2300 energy units was from a very small map where the other players only had small cities. (Hive, Spartans etc.) I know that you need a certain technology to take over the market, but I had it then because in the HQ menu the button ("Control market" or similar, I'm playing the german version) appeared and pressing "," brought the same answer: "We need x units to control the market, but we have only y units" where y was significantly greater than x.
Another question about economy: What does contribute to the number of units mentioned in the alert quoted? Your current money, your faculties like Energy Bank, what about engineers and other specialists with boni on economy? Something else?
Concerning transcendental victory it sometimes works, but in the next game, although I have all the techs and Voice of Planet (as well as most of the other SPs, I'm just playing medium difficulties) there is just no button to start Transcendence.
I will download the patch soon and see if it makes any difference, my version of AC is totally unpatched so far.
Have a nice weekend!

I got the patch and it works!
Not only economic victory can be achieved at all but the number "You have xxx units" now equals the energy units I currently have! Up to now, Transcendence can also be completed!
Thanks a lot!
Now playing Morgan and Zakharov is much more fun!

P.S. @dissident
I was able to control a medium sized map completely covered with Spartan cities at difficulty four with only 2390 energy units. Perhaps it has also something to do with how many cities you have? (I had 11 cities @ 6-12 pop)

does anyone know if government has an influence on the value of economic victory?
I mean, the amount of ec would be needed too buy each unit and each base, but if there are Myriam bases, or one of the NMY in fundy, is the amount u need then more? or just the same?

Is it possible that nobody believes me that it said 2300 units?

Of course PBs do the trick too.
If you nuke the three biggest cities, probably Uni if still alive or Lal, I bet you need a number of energy units even smaller!
