I didn't know it could be used to mend punctures I thought it was used to make tyres

oh have you ever seen it when it has sat on some un-eaten toast for most of a morning

at that stage it is almost perrrrrfect for throwing in your tyre kit when you go for a ride

just add a bit of spit and ya away

It truly is the nectar of the gods. I'm not sure what the yanks would have as an equivalent. Perhaps Bovril?

I use vegemite on sammies and toast. It's something that you either love to bits or hate with venom. There is also those who prefer marmite over vegemite, which is pretty much the same stuff, but leads to bitter slagging matches none the less.

My personal fav variation of the stuff is Bovril. It's so concentrated that you can even use it as stock for casseroles. I hear that the Scotts make a hot drink out of it and slurp it at football matches. No wonder they’re so hairy!

I’ll play my turns tonight when I get home from the pub.

You guys are a riot!!!!

Well, I googled Bovril...can't say I've seen that over here. A search for "cow tits" turned up some interesting sites which I will not look at again since I'm at work.

I did find this wonderful product during my search for Bovril, no, I have no idea what it is.

mate the original vegemite was formed when two young drunks knocked off a keg of beer from their uncles pub

they took it out the footy oval and poured many a jug

only to wake up in the blazing heat of the next afternoon with a strange groggy head

they then sort out shelter under the bleachers

it was the late that evening that they finally ventured out and headed home

two days later the uncle discovered a keg missing

here the lads realised they were the cuplrits

stealing some courage from a stray bottle of whiskey, thanks Unc they headed back to the footy oval

yep over there under the tree they found the keg, the jugs, and some strange black stufff all along the side of one of the jugs

yep, the heat, the yeast, the glass, that bloody scorchen sun, some kind of bread from the many hot dogs they ate that night, and some spit had all combined to form that great hangover killa - VEGEMITE

Well, from your descriptinon Sir Paddy, it is most certainly an acquired taste.

I assume that I can still order my English muffin or toast with jam or jelly in England and Australia?

No tyre for me.
