Don't know if you think this is a good or bad idea, but at least worth the effort.
Contact CDG. Tell them that their other galley will soon be destroyed. Tell them that if it is the one with a settler on it, we will allow the settler to land at a location choosen by us, form a city, and allow the galley to enter the city. Then, they must transfer the city over to us. We get a free city without the necessity of making a settler. CDG gets to keep its galley.
Another idea, is that if it has a settler and they do not want to give us a city is to have them land the settler and disband the galley. We will attack the settler and get two workers. We then make peace with CDG, and send them one of the two workers. We gain a free slave. CDG gains a worker. We do not risk our military in conflict.
OK. Both these ideas are silly, and both require that CDG doesn't just run away (I don't know why they haven't already) and that they don't have too bad of feelings towards us. But hey, nothing asked, nothing gained. If we are to do this, we should send them an email before they play, so within the next 24 hours or so. Anybody game?

CDG have a capitol somewhere - you have to look for the "Godking issue" somewhere in the boards.
We have to preapre a letter just in case everyone (or least a majority) agrees to this.
And the voting is 3-0 until now

the proposal will be only for this galley, not for the entire game
