There is unlimited freeze time, which requires advance notification- but you can't just put it on hold indefinitely. You said a week so I gave it a week.

Well, we have two options - Freeze until the 27th of may when the phone company say they will have a free engineer to come and fix my line, or go with the "Post the save and moonbars will play it as and when he can on a limited and patchy basis"

You won't have a phone for nearly 4 weeks? That is ludicrous. Even an Australian phone company would cringe at such non-existent service! If that happened here, the Federal Minister for Communications would be sacked!

Ah, I have parted ways with the Big Blue. How my dream of my own death with now come true (crouched behind a barricade made of my IBM desk, clutcheing a hand grenade and the last clip of ammo for my 9mm) remains a mystery. So no playing at work. If the USB works on this pc, I might be able to port the save home, play there and email it from work.. might..

This is becomiing very drawn out - I see the turn has been downloaded once, let's hope it was Moonbars (though more likely King Rommel )

Moonbars - any way you can download the turns at work, or an internet cafe, then play them at home and send later?

Well I don't want to hurt Moonbars' development, but we have certainly lost momentum, which translates into waning interest in the game all round, which is unfortunate.

Sorry - I was under the impression we had umlimited freeze time. The choice is either wait for me, or i'll have no option to resign which I do not want to do. Can we not just wait for my internet to be sorted? I can't get the save off this PC, and I cannot access my email on it, there is no practicle way for me to play.. Im sorry but there isnt much I can do.

Sure I could play moonbars save and so could rommel but if the game should be played by someone but moonbars, *he* should get to pick his temp.

Whatever the alliances might be now, we will all be enemies before the game is concluded so that rules me out as a player. While rommel is neutral, his potential knowlegde of the game is to big to have him as a many-turns temp. Remember that he might have to step in for other players as well.
