The inspectors have traveled through all our glorious empire and returned with detailed reports.
Currently the carthagians are sending massive fleets around Sicily and Corsica. We have good number of troops there and there are lots of garrisons on the continent who may be transported this turn. The question is: Do we need all these troops to be transported there or they will be more useful at the northern border?
Our inspectors reported for a large macedonian fleet near Sicily too. Currently we have good relations with them but how long will they last it is unknown. I will not enter a war with Macedonia, so I'll not ask what to do with the greeks. I want to hear what the senators are thinking about the troops in Southern Italy.
The second problem our inspectors have seen is the amount of war ships we have. Currently they are exactly 4 with 2 of on their way to the Dyes island (Cyprus). This means we have only two galleys to transport troops between the islands. Should we build more galleys or we don't need ships now?
The third problem is our expansion. Although most of our cities are building armies some of them are preparing new groups of citizens to create new towns. Where should these towns be placed? More to the east or the west, in Iberia? Or between the loosy placed macedonian cities?
I'll need more troops for the western campaign against Carthage. I can't see their dreadful war elephants but I'm sure we will meet them with our couragous legions and we will beat them. The question is should we buy the troops in the new conquered cities (mainly garrisons) to defend the captured cities or we should try to rush some improvements there and the troops will come from Italy?
Last big concern - our northern borders. We are at war with the goths now. Should we attack them? Or should we leave them and start a war with the more powerful Celts? Or just defend our cities until the western campaign is under control and we have defended our cities better?

We have good carpenters in Roma. They make nice big crosses for such occasions.

I say..we need more Senatorial Veto Power.. |
The Emperor makes polls, and asks question, and in general, all rulers have followed the Senate's will. If the polls are clear, why a need to Veto things? That could very well stall any decisions of the Senate, and of the Emperor.
IF you have a concern, then speak up, and it will be heard. It always has been in this place, so please, don't worry Senator.
[EDIT: I think a part of this discussion should be on the Senate Floor, not here. ]
