	O.k., what are we doing here?? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

O.k., I now have a few questions for the team:

Is this game in need of just allowing it to Die (or not)?

If the game is going to continue, are we just going to let GWT/GCA walk all over us??

Or are we going to atleast fight for our Reputation??


With the way that this game has been poisoned, by Lucky and Co, is it better, that we just fully up and quit? If so, we need to do this as a solid Colition with our Allies (CFC & CGN).But we need to all be "in the same boat" about it. For instance, if CFC doesn;t want to give it up, then we shouldn;t. We know how CGN would vote, but we need to seriously discuss ending this game, if it really, really needs to end.

I for one, don;t want to waste my previous efforts in this game, but then, there IS a time to just quit beating a dead Horse and move on. Why Spend time and effort, even visiting this forum, little alone participate in it, if for all intents and purposes, it's Dead.

A while back, we had a poll, with only 17 votes dealing with the ending of this game. I for one, would not like this game to continue, if we aren;t going to be serious about Playing it and Participating in it. I want to know, that if I (or someone who really wants to contibute in this game) will not waste their time with continuing to beat a dead horse.....

I really want to know, as I was hoping that we would continue to work on and succeed (or alteast, make sure that GWT/GCA know that they have been up against the best, and they were giving their best).

I guess what I'm really asking is, do we want to make an effort or just move on to other / greener pastures??

I would love to see the game continue..

The problem I see, is that

1. Building is boring. (Especially in the Industrial age)

Sorry . but it is true.
Only a few of our members are superior builders.
It's best to just sit back, and let the experts take over.
Watch & learn. Most of us cant add any value.

2. Very little information is being posted by our consuls.
If they dont supply information, then its hard to participate.
Sure, we can all open the save, and have a look for ourselves. But we are lazy. Sorry...but thats true also.
Post some pics. Post information about some of the burning issues we must decide upon. And perhaps it will generate enough interest to get some posts.

But then again ... when building... what major issues are there? If E_T says to build a marketplace before a courthouse...then I believe him.


Basically...
I'd like to see the game continue.
Let the builders take over.
And when the Germans invade...you will see us all flood back to the game with interest.

Personally, I think we need to drop this game. Apolyton has clearly demonstrated that we are the best, the only reasons we have not won, are because of our incompetent ally (CFC), terrible starting location, and Lucky cheating being a cheating bastard. Activity has probably dropped to the lowest ever, and I can only name one of the three Consuls, BigFree. BigFree put three units next to a GCA city, did any of the team or Consuls agree to it? No, but he just went and did it anyways. For all of these reasons, including lack of information and uneventful turns, I say we drop the game.

Wow, thats how much interest we have in this game, first time I have seen this thread, and only three posters.

We were pretty close to being booted out anyway, there was a thread about it at the UN with 13 posts. A lot more interest than we can generate here.......
