	Civilisation.txt Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

New here and need a direction and help.

I have a bad habbit of losing track of what info I'm looking for when chasing old thread topics....I love trying to get all the info I can at one time about editing CTP....but....as always I lose track of where the heck I was going in the first place....too much good stuff to stop reading here and there about it.

I want to change the personality descriptions for the civs.

Example: Scottish

In the civilisation.txt, it says that the Scottish have DESCRIPTION_SCI_FEW

I want the Scottish to have DESCRIPTION_SCI_MANY

Point: to have all the civs have (all) the chances for technology advances.

Tried changing the civilisation.txt and got errors and game will not load.

How doos I doos this??????

Is there a thread topic on this I can read directions on how to do it????

What were the errors?

Also are you using a text editor..this helps in finding the actual line the error occurred on

Thanks Gramps....here goes......

Deleted that CTP folder and started a fresh load since then.

From memory it basicaly said that when loading a new game CTP could not find the civs I changed on those lines in the civilisation.txt file.

I'm new to this but from what I read so far in the other threads(and can remember), I need to change some other files as well for CTP to get all the info it needs.

Do I need to change something in the civ_str.txt of the english gamedata folder also?

What text editor are you using and where can I get it ASAP???????

I really like this game engine and the simple interface of CTP as a game........

EDITPLUS2 is a free download..use te evaluation as long as you deem necessary..

Downloaded Editplus2 and will start goofing with it tomorrow....yea

I spotted the Leaders Randomizer download in the mod section of CTP and should get a head start on moding my civs looking at how PinkFriend did it....yahooo!

Editplus2 and you guys is Xmas for days....thanks again.

More questions but need to digest this first.....
