Techs (Vote for One Only):

1. Buy No Techs From Greece now, get them elsewhere.
2. Buy One Tech From Greece now, get the other elsewhere.
3. Buy Both Techs From Greece now.

Edit: The two techs are Monotheism & Sanitation.
Greece will give Monotheism for aprox WM + 200 gold
Greece will give Sanitation for aprox WM + 60 gold.

We have aprox 2100 gold in the bank and are making 350 GPT running 80% taxes / 20% luxaries [increasing next turn due to CHs and MPs]

Desired 20 turn Cease Fire Conditions for war with Carthage: (Vote for as many as you want unless chosing Peace Now)

1. Peace Now after this turns attacks.
2. Only after it includes Southern Corsica.
3. Only after it includes a tech for free. (Currently "almost there" for the cheaper one which is Sanitation)
4. Only after we get a MGL. (For the FP)
5. Only after it includes all of Carthigan Spain
6. Only after it includes all of Carthigan North Africa

You might want to amend the original post to indicate which techs you are talking about to make that clear

I voted not to buy any tech - I think we have all of the techs we need in this game. It's not about the techs at this point, so we can afford to slowly develop them.

I also think we should beat up on Carthage some more. They're never going to be friendly or trustworthy - I didn't check, but I'd be surprised if they didn't start out 100% against us, even if we're not "locked" at war with them anymore, so it's hard to believe they'd be safe to leave alive. I suggest finishing off the European holdings, and then going for peace - Africa isn't useful, much anyhow.

Sorry for the stupid question but I did never played this scenario - what happens when we have researched everything? Are the future techs directly applied to our score as it was in Civ 2 (never reached future techs in Civ3)?

There's two major differences between this conquest and standard single player:

1. Accel Production is on. (Because the MP used as a starting point)

2. All locked alliances / wars are off.

Result of the first turn's battles (that resulted in capturing Neo Carthage) is that Carthage will now give Sanitation for a cease fire or two of the smaller cities in Spain for cease fire.

Still no new MGL dispite several of the attacks using Elites.

Thanks for the input, I got the two techs elsewhere at minimum cost.

Wasn't able to convince Carthigans to surrender all remaining cities in Carthigan Spain during my reign.

Southern Corsica became mute due to Macedonians taking it over. (But Carthiage just landed it's own counterattacking force.)

Landed in Southern Corsica, their trying to take the city back from the Macedonias at this time, not us.

Actually, we should root for the Carthigans, because if they succeed we can take it easily ourselves.
