Well the regular season really doesn't mean anything. It doesn't matter unless you win playoff games. You could go 16-0 in the regular season but you suck if you can't even win one playoff game.

Nah.

Stepping stones, ixy, stepping stones.

They have the QB, the RB, the TE, WRs, and the ground defense.

They have plenty of work to do on their secondary.

Not bad for a team with so many rookies, and sophomores.

I'm disappointed that they didn't win the game on that kick, they should be playing on, but we'll let Curtis Martin continue his string.

They have a ways to go before they can reach the Superbowl, and this upcoming year will be the test whether they can play with the big boys on a regular basis. No more last place schedule.

I like the way the Rams are playing now. They actually could last another round in the playoffs. Madden said something about them doing well when you don't expect it and doing poorly when you expect them to win. This year, no one expected them to do anything.

If the Jets were in the NFC, they would be the best team in the conference. Unfortunately, they face either Pittsburgh or New England next week, which are clearly the class of the NFL.

Though with one of the worst pass defenses (as pointed out in the game). 31st in yards again and 19th in Yards per catch against.

Roethlisburger, Ward, Burress, Randle-El and co would slice and dice that horrid pass D.

Oh, btw, the Chargers weren't the best run D. They were 3rd behind Pittsburgh and Washington (though just barely behind both, like less than 10 yards).

They just held the league leading rusher to 55 yards on the day. They would be the best defense the Pittsburgh offense could hope to see.

I'm still sad about that passing D, though. It's the biggest hole left to plug, and cost them a chance to move on.

What do you think Schottenheimer should do in the offseason?

All but one of the ABC/ESPN analysts (can't remember which one, maybe Irvin) All but one of the guys on CNNSI.com. The picks against the rams vastly outnumbered the picks for.

Even Faulk looks like the young Faulk. I think he needs the big games to keep it at the top playing level now.

The secondary needs to do something to get interceptions though. They will need those to win more playoff games.
