XMen Legends Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

My brother got this for Christmas, and I was entranced by it. I don't own a PS2, he lives about forty miles away, and it seems a little silly to buy a $150 game system (best price I found) and an additional $34 for just one game.

Does anyone know if a PC port is coming?

Suffering from ads?

He was swearing about some mission two days ago, something about being hopelessly outnumbered.

Check the customer reviews -- I pretty much agree with the ones on the first page.

Tired of ads?

So you actually liked this game? My friend had it for a little while. I thought it was pretty boring.

I plan on getting it eventually. It was competing against Metroid Prime 2 at the time.

No, I am hoping for a PC port of a game I loathe.

I haven't seen anything about a PC port. However,

Based on strong consumer response to its action role playing game X-Men Legends, Activision announced today that the company is developing a sequel based on the ever-popular Marvel franchise with Raven Software.

The original game challenges players to master the attributes of their favorite X-Men by creating, customizing and controlling teams of four mutants as they embark on a quest to stop the extinction of mankind. The title is currently available worldwide for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube.

"For 40 years Marvel's X-Men have captivated consumers worldwide and today the brand is stronger than ever," said Ron Doornink, CEO of Activision Publishing. "X-Men Legends is already on track to be the best selling game in the franchise's history."

"We are thrilled with the critical and consumer response to X-Men Legends. Marvel and Activision are committed to ensuring that the X-Men Legends series will continue to be a top notch game franchise for years to come," said Ames Kirshen, director of video game development at Marvel.

Marvel suck. They are suing Cryptic for CoH as some people make heroes that look like Marvel ones.

X-men Legends is only fun with a couple friends, but with those friends it is crazy good fun. The character construction is pretty good, RPG-lite stuff. The action is constant, but tends toward a bit of a grind most times. Hunting for unlockables is a bit of a chore, but it still manages to be fun to destroy everything in sight. The best part of the game comes though when you and a couple of your buddies are sitting around, passing a blunt and stringing together combos left and right. When I got it back in Oct. (?) we basically sat around and punished the game in a week or so of solid nearly non-stop play.

There were three parts I found genuinely challenging. One was pretty early on, in the second mission (prolly what your bro was having trouble with), one was a tricky boss fight, and the third involved swarms of sentinals. It wasn't too terribly frustrating though.

Just a note since you're thinking of getting a console, the X-box version has much shorter load times, and I think PS2s only come with two controller ports standard. It's nice to know they're already crapping out a sequel, if it's online it'd be sweet.

I downloaded the game... it's decent. But it sucks, you gotta beat the first mission before it lets you play the 2 player mode. I find that strange because they advertise this game as the "BEST CO-OP GAME EVAR!". I find it odd that the best co-op game would be only single-player until you beat the first mission.

I'm actually stuck on one part. It's the first time you face Mystique. I keep dying. It's major BS I say.

I wouldn't buy this game, but if you have a PS2 harddrive, it's worth copying.

Make certain that you get Wolverine's healing factor first. Then run away when you can to heal, so you can save the red potions for when you can't run away.
