Tons of people have birthdays on New Year's day Tired of ads?

That's because a lot of Polytubbies couldn't be arsed to put in their proper birthday.

Is there a simple fix?

Simple fixes include banning people who don't update their birthdays, or not displaying birthdays on January 1st. This may annoy people who actually have birthdays on this date.

An even simpler 'fix' would be to do nothing, as it isn't really a world threatening problem. My money is on the 'fix'.

Have non-birthdays default to Feb-29th. Then its only a problem every 4 years 'cepting 2100 which isn't a leap year so it will be 8 years complaint free that time.

Mom never drinks, but Dad...

My Mom went into labor at around 4:AM on Jan 1st. Dad had been sleeping for roughly 1 hour at that time.

Mom took a cab to the hospital.

I just looked at my profile in a recent post and--yep!--I was born on December 31, 1969.
However, in my control panel page, I listed my birthdate accurately as February 13, but the year is grayed out as it is pre-1969 (I assume that's the reason for the gray).

I would prefer that my bd be listed correctly, but in order to do that I have to lie about my age.
