A.War with Carthage (choose one)
-Make peace for what we can
-Continue previous plan for all of Spain and Southern
Corsica (Carthage has a nice force outside of it,
Macedon might not hold it.)
-All out conquest for all of Carthage.

B.Captured cities policy (choose one)
-Raze and rebuild conquered areas
-Only raze large cities
-Keep all cities

We have lots of gold laying around but I don't think anybody is touching it. I think we should use gold to rush lots of units into Spain and Corsica, because I am not sure they have enough units to quickly mop up Carthage.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Raze no cities. We have Temples everywhere, so our culture should keep up with others just fine. Also, the older a city is, the less corruption. This means, that southern Spain can have a few productive cities. If not for Legions, then at least for Galley, and Garrision production.

Continue the plan to get Spain. It is proceeding well, so there's no reason to stop now, unless something unexpected happens.

Please Continue the war plan.

On rushes, Northern Corsica hadn't come out of resistance yet during my administration, and neither had the southern two Spainish cities.

Yes, the newly founded cities in Spain could use some rushing.

Please keep 1000 gold in the bank earning interest.

My administartion used a lot of gold on rushing, mostly on actions that increased our GPT. So please feel free to spend it as needed on units.

Please keep 2 units per city in the Italian ones to maintaign order.

And when the Dye is roaded, you should be able to reduce luxaries to 0%.

Oh, I forgot to properly name the city in Cyrpus founded at the beginning of my administartion.

Please rename it to "Wine to Dye For"

God, 2 units per city would be a horrific waste of units ...

I put in a vote for "Raze All", even though I don't mean all. I mean, all cities in Carthage, Africa. In Spain, I agree with Modo. (And don't rebuild, at least for now.)

I suggest finishing off Carthage, if it's not too hard. I'm not sure we ever really decided if that was part of the plan or not - some cleverly worded polls have gone both ways, as the wording of the poll really makes a big difference. Although this poll seems to be rather decisive. I do urge the Senators to consider the dangers of leaving a militant Carthage at our backs; finishing them off means we don't have to keep much military on this side of the world ... not finishing them means leaving a large portion of our force here.

Suffering from ads?

I was never really a fan of the annexation of Spain and would have preferred to see the Carthaginian war ended after the burning of their capitol and the capture of the islands. This was the original plan !!

We were then to focus on removing the Celts.

However as we are at this time so committed we must now prioritise the completion of this task!!

I think units must now be our priority to build, we need to be able to swamp our enemies with our Legions and smash all resistance.

This may not be possible in your five turns but once Spain is cleared we should make peace with Carthage then turn on the Celts who have now had lots of time to build up their forces. If they were to attack us suddenly in force while our troops are so spread out it would cause chaos !!!

Any particular reason you think this, other than the increased likelihood that an older city has a courthouse already established?

I think the city rank should be lower for the cities that were there at the beginning of the game. Thus, they might be a bit less corrupt. I'm not entirely sure about this, though.

Not if you make them Garrisons. They are cheap enough to be built in many places, so we don't even need to use cash for this.

City rank is determined by distance from the capital. In cases where multiple cities are identically distant from the capital, the city founded the earliest is awarded the lower rank.

However, this does not reduce corruption and waste overall, it merely alters the ranking between cities. It also has no effect on distance corruption.

I was referring to the effect a Forbidden Palace has on cities in former enemy core. The big Carthaginian cities in Spain could receive this boost, right? Even if not, keeping improvements, and saving Citizens always seems like a good idea.

I don't think we should raze any cities. It's really a waste since we need to produce settlers to build new cities and that production could be used to make legions.
We should take all Spain and then cross into North Africa and make our way across the coast, conquering as we go. I don't think the barbarians are a large threat so we should stay at peace with them.

Most are garrisons, just a few are Legionary IIIs just in case Carthage decides to invade there. No Heavy Calvary were left there.

They are highly effective at keeping order, one full turn into my administration, I was able to lower luxaries from 20% to 10%.
(With a few having a taxmen for a couple of turns)

Units have no maintance cost under Imperalism.

Our Galleys are way out of position for an invasion of North Africa, and more importantly the Celts, Gauls, and Macedonia are all easier to get to than Africa.

Well, at Demigod corruption evel, Neo Carthage is rather far far the FP. It's not terriable [assuming we'd rush Court Houses throughout the area], but we'd do better for the FP to be Russicide so theres more cities with distance based corruption reduced than in either Neo Carthage or the other extreme southern ones.

Also, if we don't get that MGL really soon, the city closest to the center of our river valleys NE may be a more effective site. The ones that turned size 5+ during my administration had CH + MP rushed.

There is no need to raze cities in this scenario.

The captured city retains its culture footprint and amount, and our new Temple via Artemis continues to build on what was existing. This is to simulate Romes excellent ability to assimilate all cultures and ultimately improve upon them, therefore it was changed for this scenario.

If the cities are unhappy due to large size, starve them for a while until they submit

Tired of ads?

Not very exciting, rushed some military into Spain and Corsica, settled 2 cities (Cubathon), Gathered a stack of citizens near some open land to settle, got an MGL, rushed a galley in the island near Persia to take the legion and cavalry where they were needed since it had two garrisons.
