The Dictatorship of Marijuania2 is a small, socially progressive nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 9 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.
The small, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Commerce, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Soda Sales, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.
The country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, the country is preparing for war, military spending is on the increase, and the automotive industry soaks up huge government handouts. Crime is a serious problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Marijuania2's national animal is the fish, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the baby.
