Finding CDG - what to do with our Curraghs Increase Your PM Length

PAL has reported they killed the Mayflower, CDG's last known Galley in the area. We are officially CDG-free, except for the unknown location of their set up city.

One day we will need to find and finish CDG, the question that faces us now is whether we should start, well, NOW.

We have a couple of Curraghs left in the SE, which is the area from which CDG made their leap to... somewhere. Either off the SE/E coast of their old lands or to the S/SE/E of the area of PAL's unsettled SE lands must be where they found land and, if the evidence is to be believed, the other continent.

Should we now send the Curraghs to these areas to explore? I think there is nothing better for them to do, so this is a must. SHould we someday upgrade them to Galleys for the extra scouting movement? A move of three will not help much, unless we are venturing right out to sea, so I think this can certainly wait a bit. Should we, once we've explored the coastlines as far as we are able, suicide these boats to find CDG? In my opinion, we should. CDG may have a city on the other continent now, but in my view that is far from proven. If we can find their city and get it quick enough, then we will have all the less to worry about for the future, and the other continent's civs may self-destruct.

A very good end for maintenacne sucking units. Best to coordinate with PAL though.

We should suicide. Regardless if we make peace or not with them, we need to find out where they are, soon.

Suicide sounds fine to me. Even if we don't find CDG, we may still find the other teams.

Definetly, though, coordinate the suicidal ships with PAL so our efforts aren't wasted too badly.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Keep them in storage. We need 1 or 2 to settle our islands. Keep on in the area as a sentinal, in case they return.

PAL will have the lighthouse soon. Best to just let them use their 4 movement and find it instead of us wasting our resources. Besides, there are barbs out that way anyways.

We don't need to contact the others now. PAL will have the lighthouse and will discover the others. If we meet them and their are behind us they will get cheaper techs for research. And if they build the Great Library that team will get free techs.

Of course, there is always a possibility that the other continent is in front of us with the research.

Or we may not trust PAL that much. But I think we will need these galleys

I'd say keep em. If we're looking to cut back on units how about disbanding anthea and grog? Grog is serving no purpose really. He's scouted most of the continent. We'll trade maps when we get Navigation anyway.

We need the sentries and the transports. Let's not suicide them. PAL can find and eliminate CDG just fine.

Ditto

Once we "officially" discover there location via an embassy we wont have to suicide anyway.

And once PAL has GL they can do the "grunt work" of finding a way over to the other continent and then we can follow "the chosen path" at that time.

In the meantime keep em or disband them for the shields.
