And as far as the booing, thats just awful. Of all the phoney, fake, no talent props on the Pop scene today, why boo Ashley? |
Because she's a phoney, fake, no talent prop who yelled out of tune badly?
The fact that more phoney, fake, no talent props are not given the boo treatment they deserve is a pity, but irrelevant to this. This isn't someone's fragile 8year old daughter at her 1st school play trying to sing. Ashley's a big girl now and needs to know she sucks. The booing was not "just awful", rather just honesty.

Whatever you say. The fact is Ashlee Simpson had one of the top selling female solo artist albums of all time. If I recall her album reached number one on the billboards... something her big sister has never done. Clearly somebody likes her. This whole backlash towards her are just people jumping on the bandwagon of people who saw SNL (like you). OMG SEH USED TEH LIPSINCING!!!11 So what, any idiot knows that nearly everyone uses vocal tracks to back them up.
So she sang off tune... who cares? Why not just be polite and wait for her to leave? Booing her off the stage is just deplorable behaviour. Especially for someone so young. Things like this will make or break her career.

If Ashlee and Jessica had another sister, do you think their dad would turn her into a rapper or a prostitute?

No- there was a time before PR, for one, but two, when there were a lot of small music concerns people had to live off the quality of their product, to stand out and be profitble- now, this does not reduce the chance of poor songs being sung by talented people, but it did reduce the possibility of trully bad performers lasting at all, and certainly of selling well, given the independence of radio companies and the fact they would actually look for talented people, so that they got more airtime and where themselves profitable.
Today we live in a world in whcih a few large companies control the production of music, while another small set controls distribution- once the production companies have decided to annoit one hack as a star, they can do it, have the budgets to push it, and don;t have to worry about survival of the latest flavor of the month collpases. Ditto for the large radio concerns.
In fact, the Ashlee Simpsons of the world are a Godsend- you pump them up for their first album, for which you pay them very little as compared to established stars, then you push the album to milk it for all its worth, then if the public does not want a second, well, who cares, there is a million wanna be's willing to be the next Ashlee Simpson.
