	Anyone wanna play some starcraft later tonight or tommorrow? Got spare money?

So any ways I started playing starcraft today after like a 3 or 4 year hiatus...basically I'm a newbie all over again (and in my prime I was only average), but if anyone wants to play broodwar with me later tonight just leave a message and like a msn/yahoo/aim account and we'll set something up

I bought this for xmas but havent got round to installing it yet. Ive never played it before, but have played some RTS games before, so I am a total newb I will stick it on my HD and see if you are around once my gf has finished using my comp and Ive eaten my pizza

an early night for me last night normally that kind of time would be just right for me though. I played a few practice games and got royally torn apart. I might be able to start using the tactics that are destroying me though

Can it be played outside of Bnet, or is there anyway to circumvent the need for a broodwars serial? 'cause there's no hope of me ever finding my CD.

General Ludd I'm not sure but starcraft might have an IP option so you won't need the cd key...i'd have to check on that

I believe there was a working keygen for Bnet, though it might be hard to track down now.

Turns out broodwars doesn't even have a cd key. I can play it on Bnet fine with just the key for the original game.

So, I guess I'd be up for a game. Even after all these years I'm not *that* rusty...


And I can't believe people are still playing BGH. The other "new" popular map (fastest possible) is even worse, though... *shudder* Why do people want to play like that? Might aswell be playing a map settings game where units are spawned every second or something.

Im around this weekend. Any maps I should download? and what the hell do I do when to stop myself getting rushed by those little hand-to hand combat grunt thing (protoss maybe?) Im trying to get the hang of playing terran first but I always get ripped up by those bloody things no matter what I build

I've only been playing zerg so far, but as I remember it, a quickly built bunker should stop most rushes when playing as terran, and flamers are some of the most effective weapons against melee units like zealots and zerglings.

I don't know how doable it is, but geting a bunker with a couple marines and a flamer in it would put a sure stop to a zealot rush, I think.


EDIT: Either that, or forget the bunker and just build more marines and a medic or two if you don't want a static defense.

you have to do a wallin snotty. terran infantry can beat protoss infantry in numbers but they get raped by reavers/templar so you really have to get to factory units fast, and you can't waste any time.
