	New Cities Discussion Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Ok - with GoW's offer of land, and presuming GS gives us a similar deal (I will be writing Cort today) , I thought we should start discussing where we settle.

To get it going, I have attached a proposal.

From what MZ has said, all but cities 1, 2, and 3 we can count on. They are in the GoW zone. We need GS permission for the western part. If we don't get it, we may need to rethink the city layout.

But yes - after having lived on our rock for so long, a bit more leg room will be nice.

The only one I would have an issue with is city #7. Placing it on the hill offers more defense, yes, but it not only removes a potential worked land tile (8-8 of the FP location) it also removes the possibility of using naval transport to go through that city I would suggest moving it over 1 tile to the west. It still has plenty of room to grow and plenty of coast to do it with, as well as a couple of hills and mountains for production.

Any thoughts on city names? One will clearly need to be in honour of Lego.

You are right Beta....our main city of Legoland's landmass should be named after their (formerly) Great Nation.

As far as the others...what the hell, just name them after our team members...we can even use the term "New" when titleing the cities - as if we would actually use all of the "canned" names for our civilization!

Ok - sounds good. The new FP will be New Lands. I will think of the appropriate name for the Lego memorial city. Maybe Memory of Blocks, or Memory Blocks.

The others will be named after great Voxians.

Jon, Beta's second post shows the land in question with numbered dots indicating where the cities are planned to be founded at...

Hmm... agree with Rhoth, but what about one south of that as well? It gives one more useable nonsea square, until the FP gets big anyway but that will be a while, and it still allows the other benefits (sea canal, hill usage) ...
