For Planet's sake, who on Chiron is this guy? I really don't get why is he asking all that stuff, and for what reason...

huh? is this guy a member of ACDG? if he's trying to get himself recruited onto a team, his methods seem a bit silly. we should reply to him in Progenitor language:

ok ok so my progenitor lingo could use some work (I just got the expansion package last week)

Ming says he is not a DL from EN, so this is out. So he seems to be a player with a great sense for roleplay. However we can't answer his questions regardless of this. So this is the answer we propose:

It doesn't matter if he's EN or not, we're not answering his questions. I don't see any reason to deny him joining the Gaians, should he want to, especially since the forums will be opened at the end of the game (and the CMNs are watching) - no team would openly discuss any contraband data a rogue Gaian might provide. Besides, if I were EN, I would betray the Morganites, since they have the most to lose.

I must admit that information can be gained by other means, not only forums, therefore betrayal is still possible.

I would also like to remind why EN was banned from DA team - he used to delete registry key describing reload presence at SMAC/X, so he could reload turn how much times he wanted..

Rather than answering his questions directly, whomever he is, I'd extend a vague invitation to join. I doubt he's an EN dl, and new blood can't hurt us that much.

Chang wouldn't be playing the turn for a while, even if he wants to, so that's not an issue.

On ICQ he was "hoping to hear" from the Spartans and Morganites because he likes their factions better - and prefers a "more active" group.

This whole discussion might be mute.

Also, he has never played MP before, as is obvious with my Head to Head with him. (unless he's really really really good at role playing )

I actually am new. Other than boning up on the sticky threads, what should I be doing?

(For reference: I'm as much an addict of the game as anybody else, but I'm perfectly wretched at it. I don't have SMAX. I do have decent prose skills.)

If you like to write, our newspapers do come rather infrequently, perhaps more so with the departure of Illuminatus. I appreciate the fiction we put out in the general Demo game forum, as it makes the game fun, rather than a chore.

As our former news editor and main RP person retired with a big issue (Lady Dierdre murdered!) you should make your appearance by making an issue that someone (think about a name how would you call yourself in RP has taken her place.

Maybe - (Lady Dierdres' Lower) Muriel Wasser..

But prior to posting it you should ask about other's opinion.
