I was going to edit my post but you said you'd be gone so i didn't bother. Anyway. To answer your questions in more details: "that" doesn't make me better than them. The liberal is upset because the VP of the USA dressed for comfort when he should have dressed for discomfort.
Why? Apparently he failed to show his compassion and sympathy. I wonder, did all the other people dress for discomfort? We must suffer because of past suffering?

One of the bad things Bush has done is abolish Clinton's business casual at the White House and reintroduce a regressive shirt-and-tie policy. Cheney is going against that flow.
