I just have gotten back into SMACX after not really playing it that much the first time around and besides my tech problem (see my interceptor crash problem) I had another question about it.
I'm playing on "Librarian" diff level and am winning but have just gotten a messege telling me that my game is almost over and will end in the year 2500. Ugh I wanted to win my game through "Transcendence" but now I don't have nearly enough time for that. Is there any way to get rid of this forced end year? I dodn't see a way to do it on the rule screen and I really don't like the forced ending rule. I don't see why the game designers didn't give an option to change it. You can set the different victory options *except* the forced end year? Odd...
I mean it makes no sense! We're in the middle of a war and a outside ref comes in and says "Okay, sorry that's it.... game and war over!" Nice if it could be realistic in real life, but I don't think so!
Also could someone tell me if the 2500 mandatory game ending is the same on all difficulty levels?
Thanks for any info.
