Supreme Ruler looks very good and should be out around June. BattleGoats spend 4 years on this game .
Next would be Ctp2 the upcoming new patch. I know its not a new game but the work being done on the code should give the CtP fans the best Civ game till Civ4 comes out. But I could be wrong, the CtP2 modders are working on new features that might give Civ4 fans something to think about.

Either way Apolyton really needs to attack civ4, I heard from a lot of people CFC totally crushed 'Poly on civ3 coverage.

There are a few screenshots, but they are from the magazine PC Gamer. That magazine owns the copyrights to those screens and has made it clear they don't want those images available online. Some (obscure) websites ignore that wish, PC Gamer probably doesn't even know about them; but major fansites such as Apolyton or CFC cannot use those screenshots. So effectively there are no screenshots available to us yet.

It's more like 6-9 months than 9-12. Also, they probably wouldn't want to miss the holiday season for the world, there's way too much money at stake for that. Plus, their development is behind schedule because their marketing is? Not exactly what I'd call foolproof reasoning... The late 2005 release date was only officially announced by the publisher just two days ago, it's pretty safe to assume that's still accurate now
As far as marketing goes, I think the magazine features of late December marked the start of the campaign, but the real fireworks can probably only be expected at E3 (and possibly in the period leading up to it; i.e. late March at the earliest). That would be in line with past behaviour.

I also agree, there are many more alcoholics at Apolyton.
As for civ4 we will see, but cfc's future will depend more on civ4's success than Apolyton will.
