When I read this topic the first thing that came to mind was a replicator, but it has to be programmable and come with heaps of schematics for other gadgets and stuff.

Altough a trinket that gives the bearer uber magical powers might be even better.

You don't need money. Just replicate diamonds from time to time. And that is dirt easy for the machine because diamonds are just carbon.
