Any map is okay with me, so I guess we stuck, since it's one vote each for two different maps.

Tell you what, I'm thinking of a number from 1 to 10, closest guess gets to play the map of their choice. Iwill message my number to Ludd so he can verify the vote.

I think editing is only needed to provide more than 2 starting provinces. The copy of this map I found only allows 2 players. I've attached a zip file of it here.

I have checked out the game's map editor, and changing and/or adding starting provinces looks pretty easy to do, but it could be that more changes might be needed to provide equitable starting locations.

Suggested settings:

Same victory conditions as before, magic sites 50, 3 starting provinces, renaming allowed, everything else normal. Clash of the Titans with the pretender, spell and scales mods.

I didn't realize we had a dominions 2 thread.

I downloaded the demo the other night. The demo appears to work, but I can't figure out how to start a game.

I created a god and all that, picked a race. But when I go to play an existing game, all I can do is hit the host button.

I noticed there was a walkthrough on the web they recommend before playing. As this game is daunting at first. I'll try that. I don't have time to mess around with it right now though. I would like to give myself a few hours.

The game-creating interface is pretty poor.

Did you set your nation to be controlled by a human? Remember to set some computer opponents as well.

I haven't had many casualties so far (except a few this turn, which is just aswell since it helped me realize a mistake I've been making) I've just had some bad luck with some mages fleeing prematurely.
