Honorable Hordesmen
I am a new addition to the team, courtesy the approval committee, Paddy the Scot and Plato, and Rcoutme who introduced me.
I hope I am not getting to long winded, but better to present me here than to repeat myself elsewhere. I am 30 years old, Norwegian citizen living in Norway, Oslo, with some extensive overseas residence, namely Denmark, UK, Germany, Japan and California, and a couple of borderline projects in Russia. I got a master degree pertaining to the area of international trade and national security, and have all of my education overseas. I have not had the honor to procreate myself and added my genome to the Norwegian gene pool, or any other national gene pool for that matter, but got a girlfriend, so I will see where that brings me.
I have played Civ extensively since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, through Civ2, CTP, SMAC, Civ3 and various Civ clones, as well as MoM, MOO and other empire builder games, whereas nowadays I lean more heavily towards Rome Total War and Combat Mission.
The very mention of the fall of the Soviet Union 1991 is highly relevant, as it was a Russian turnplayer leading the first multiteam demogame team, that reminded me how long I had played civ, very long and possibly too long to just bend over for some Soviet apparatchik style condescending and lecturing behavior, not to mention unmoderated Nomenklatura flaming from his side to political opponents in his team. Very much like his political stars of his time, he could virtually drive his heavily armored Zil Limousine on red light, where the rest of the traffic ha to stay put. He could insult as he pleased, with special bonds to his moderators at CFC for his "invincible" line of successes in the spurious league of GOTM at CFC.

He was a micromanager without vision, passion, concepts of assymetric warfare, team motivation, ability to conceive complex and daring plans with the willingness to win.
Yet, fatalism, political oppression, ridiculing new proposals and in general making life a misery was what he was good at. Until we staged a coup d'etat by forcing him to resign, many on the team members felt like they were displaced in the Civ Gulag of demogames. We could really feel his cultural heritage putting the brakes on for free and directed intellectual discourse.
In fact, every 200th human being descends directly from Dzheghiz Khan, many of them are in Soviet Union. Yet, I could see no daring or vision, only the bullying of the Khan, so probably our turnplayer got the short end of the stick. Of course, we met a dismal failure, and where summarily executed turn 149 by the other teams, and the only plan that could have turned the tables, was put in the X files by the NKVD of the demogame team.
This bizarre forum story brought me here, as I instinctly sense a healthy team culture, and an unhealthy one.
As we know, Russian males are very unhealthy for being in an industrialized country, averaging 58 years, compared to India's 65.
In fact, I am profoundly pro-Horde, as it is fortunately the epitomy of the diametric opposite of my Civ-Brezhnev experience, and seeing all the good planning, sophisticated planning, great contributions, excellent organization, lovable humor, mutual respect and zest, zeal and determination for victory, whatever the situation have
convinced me to join here.
I had to tell that weird story so you can appreciate my appreciation for your team.
My specialty would be military intelligence on the force composition on the other 5 nations, extrapolated from all observations and military encounters with our neighbors.
I would therefore post five military intelligence threads, one for each nation, and keep that as a SitRep tracker dedicated for our Op-Room or War Room.
I would therefore ask for all observations of their units, a tracker of battle outcomes, a tracker of their city settlement history with dates of settlement and finally information from the F3 Military advisor. I use a variation of
Propains Military Advisors formula, taking measure for spatial logistics, economic maintenance, settlement history and dummy variables for terrain adaptation. In short, some comprehensive math lined up with the research.
