Far out dude

Before we start with the serious stuff we might as well get to know each other a bit

Very short about me: I am a 32 year old engineer from norway(very soon to be 33). Happily wed, with one son (soon to be 6 months)

Been playing civ since...90? Civ, civ2, ctp, ctp2, civ3, ptw and now c3c. The works. Also been active in various demogames.


Found a somewhat 'bloody' picture of me making conversation with a grouse. Uphill work, apart form the language barrier the grouse was dead...

I'm a 30 (soon to be 31) years old computer systems engineer from Serbia (Belgrade). Single, playing civ and similar games almost constantly. I prefer MP LAN games which I usually play with my friends at work. We mainly play Civ II MP.

My style of play is highly militaristic with little or no regard for anything else. I excel in surprise attacks against overly confident or weak opponents and take great pleasure in bringing them down on their knees begging for mercy. Bring war and destruction to our enemies, that is my motto. Remember what Ali used to say to his Mujaheddin: Strike the infidel whenever you can. It’s better to search them with a scimitar in their homes than to greet them with a spoon in your own.

Im a self employed Builder in RL and work mostly alone these days. I was in partnership with my father for many years and at times have had 20 plus tradesmen working for me. Those days were too hectic and i prefer a quieter life these days

My Civ days only really started about 5 years ago when i first got a computer, I have since had lots of fun with all incarnations of the game including the two CTP titles. I still occasionally play the original civ when I get the notion to do so

Id class my playstyle as Builder Warrior, i love the early game and middle ages best but the whole game is great to me. i like to build all the best improvements in my towns and have huge veteran armies to rule over the world with, and prefer to attack in massive force.

Im definitely not a micro manager but good at seeing the big picture and especially fond of espionage

I´m Christoph, a 33 year old printer from Dortmund, Germany. I´m single.


Playing civ for almost 15 years (oh my god ), starting with the original Civ, followed by Civ 2, Ctp and now Civ3 with all its expansions.

Like Bongo I´m participating in various demogames. I was a member of the victorious GWT (German Webring Team) in the ISDG 1 and now I´m proud to belong to the Blood Oath Horde.

My name is Jason I am 27, and live in Oregon in the US, a lot of people in my own country don't even know where my state is, It is in the North West, and it is very beautiful country, all mountains and forests. I am happily married for 4 months now (1st marriage and there won't be a second). No children yet, but there are plans for some in the next year or two. I am a software engineer,a nd mostly deal in Databases and data management software.

I have been playing Civ since the original on a Tandy 1000 with 384K of ram. Just recently started playing multiplayer CIV and PBEM games. My single player style tends to be scientific and crush my enemies with tech they have only dreamed about.

My name is Jim and I am 42 years old. I hail from Franklin, Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville). I make my living in the mortgage business managing a team that handles business from across the country.

I have been married to my 2nd wife for 7 years and 1 week today! We both have 13 year old boys (They actually intoduced us!).

I have been playing Civ for several years with my first revelation occuring on a Playstation Civ2 game. I was hooked!

My style is usually builder/warrior. I like to hold my own early and gain advantage during the mid-game. Then the infidels shall come under my sword!

I am Stephanie, just turned 30 back in Oct, and am still in full 'omg I still dunno what I wanna be when I grow up!!!!111' panic mode, and Civ's a great distraction from that I'm out in the suburbs of Dallas (and yes there really is a Southfork Ranch, I'm just 15 mins away from it!) and no, I'm ont a die hard country fan either

I've been playing Civ since a friend back in high school, who knew I'd just started playing games, said I sould really -really- take a look at Civ and it was much fun. After pulling my first up all nighter the weekend I got it, I knew he was right, heee. ^^ I was mostly a builder type until I discovered 'Poly and AU, now I'd say I'm more balanced, though I still get all perfectionist in the endgame sometimes

I've always wondered how many 'abuses' the country flag option. I noted an increase of iraqi flags 2 years ago for instance. And I really don't believe there are *that* many apolytoners who lives in the vatican state. On the other hand, most people using the Sami flag at least had plausible names.

A little about me; I'm 30, single, working in Sydney and loving it. Originally hailing from the US, I've lived out here long enough to blend in with the natives

I'm not sure what role I'm to undertake, but I've been playing civ since CIV I came out and can't get enough. I'd say I'm more ofa builder than a fighter, but I think for this game I might enjoy taking on the mindset of a psychotic nomad mongol of the 13th century

Hello,

Well, I am Vovan, and I guess I am the latest addition to the Horde.

I am 20, which I guess makes me the youngest mongol around. But don't let that fool ya, I'm as bloodthirsty as the next guy.

I am from Russia, but currently studying in an American university. Will graduate next spring, and then back to the motherland I go.

Attached is a year-old picture of me. I should note here that I've never posted a pic of me on 'Poly, so you should be honored.

EDIT: Oh right, some civ-related stuff would be good, too. I've played those since Civ1, and enjoy strategy games a lot. I played Conquests PBEM for a brief period of time, last year, but then technical problems with the computer and later the lack of time due to college work kinda killed that.
