Sounds like horchata to me

Drink warm water or ginger ale. Piece of toast too.

Got spare money?

Swallow ( or , if you can bear to , chew ) a small tablet-sized piece of crystalline peppermint ( in the raw , pure crystal form ) . Completely kills any stomach problems , and calms an acidic / uneasy stomach . Note , however , than a dosage of over half a teaspoon may be fatal to a sensitive person , and anything over a teaspoon for a normal one ( assuming that the pepperming is 100 % menthol ) .

I'm thinking you could drowd it in burbon. Nothing kills the badies like some alcohol. Ok, that might kill you so we shouldn't try that. Ginger ale or soy milk for protein and carbohidrates if you like. Horchata if you must.

Knowing the scandinavian diet, I still say fil is best for you. At least my stomach gets very upset about the American ginger ale, its too sweet and....the ginger..ouch.

In fact I had some acidic reflux last night and after eating fil, voila it was gone. I dedicated that fil for you btw.

Oh, and the last time I had a stomach virus, which was in December, the doctor gave me some pills for nausea that worked very well. Going to the doctor is a good idea.

I was wondering what might be the food most easy on my upset stomach. Unfortunately, I've not got alot of foodstuffs at home; it's pretty much down to bread, pasta, and cereals with milk. I had some fruit too, but it appears to've gone old, so I won't touch that. Yeah, and a couple cookies.

Well, start the mocking ...

Avoid milk. Plain boiled rice with a little salt, a spoonful of cornflour mixed in fruit juice diluted with a little water.

Dry toast, charcoal biscuits.

Rent some dvds. Sleep.

Get better soon.

When ever I'm away from California for an extended period of time i always get this strange craving for a large horchata and a carne asada burrito. That or fish tacos.

Never heard it called that before. I know my mom used to make that for breakfast in the winter being as i was raised a poor mexican, and when we had an upset stomache she just feed us the juice. it worked way back when.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

My advice to folks who have viral gastroenteritis is clear liqids for the first 24 hours. In the US Pedialyte is the best thing for when you're vomiiting and having diarrhea. I don't know what brand names are to be found where you live. You want something with all of the electrolytes and only small amounts of sugar. You can take Diphenhydramine (Benedryl in the US) for nausea and vomiting and Loperamide (Imodium in the US) for the diarrhea. After 24 hours you can try toast, crackers, rice, baked potatoes, cereals, jello and bananas. After 24 more hours you can try baked chicken and plainly cooked vegetables. It is especially importatn that you avoid high fat fooods, fried food, spicy foods, milk products, citrus, caffeine and carbonated beverages for about a week. Stay on that diet for 4 more days and you should be able to resume a regular diet. You'll also need to avoid alcohol indefinitely.
