OK, guys, I think that it might be useful if we all introduce ourselves to each other, and get to know each other, you knnow, as a team buiilding exercise



Ok, I'll go first. I'm 16 years and I have been playing Civ for the last two and a half years. I'm currently in a sixth form college, studying for antrance to university. That's enough of my personal details, methinks....

I'm an emperor level player, but I have beaten Deity before, and I have played in a fair few PBEMs and the two intrasite DemoGames. GS and AU taught me alot...

Good idea. Breaking the ice so to speak.

I'm older than Krill (28), but not the oldest member of our team I think jshelr will receive that credit.

My english may seem bit funny or strange at times, because its not my native language - as you can see from the flag, i'm Finnish.

Been playing civ series since Civ 1 I still remember my first ever civ game !
I lost, ofcourse, and there was a message on screen after you lost on civ1 that said something about youre lost, but will rise again... My friend was watching me play, and asked "do you think so" - i responded "yeah, seemed like a good game, i might try again" and here i am, still playing civ - over 10 years later

Usually play single player at Emperor, because thats most fun. Can beat Deity/Demi with no problems, usually, but its more work and less fun, so i tend not to play other difficulties but Emperor.

I usually play CFC COTMS and AU games when i have time, and might play an occasional Realms Beyond Epic, too.

And oh yeah, i work on computer repairs on a small company + i do computer repairs myself, too.

Well I'm 19, born and raised as a New Zealander.
I'm due to start University this year and I play at warlord level although I never tried to really win at high levels but I think I can work up to reagent with out too much difficulty. I also started on the original civilization although my recollection is not that good....

Um, the discworld theme is pretty much what attracted me to the team . My interest in that started in the Uk where I lived for seven years. In fact, I found apolyton and Civ 3 round about the same time I really got into discworld. That pretty much it really.

Hello from me.

About myself:
I'm 27 years old from Bulgaria. I'm (trying to be) a software developer. In the last two years I'm building various web sites using php and blah-blah-blah other stuff. It is roughly the same time I'm member of Apolyton too but both things are not related.

I've played civ since the first game came out but less successfully than Conqueror. I was truly addicted with the third version. When I started visiting Apolyton I started participating in games by email. And the first loss was fron Conqueror (the second was in the same game but from Eli. Well, I have learned two things - never leave unprotected cities and never trust someone just because he said he will not attack you).

I was involved in two democracy games (the second is still in progress), ISDG (CDG tournament - in progress too). I'm consul for Apolyton in the ISDG and this keeps me active on the forums. Otherwise I prefer more to read than to post pointless messages.

What else? My English sucks but this obvious I tihnk :

I think this is enough for now. I hope I'll help the team to enjoy this game and to be not the first eliminated (actually to be not eliminated but this goal is a little bit too high )

Thanks for authorizing me to your private forum. I'm only here as an observer, as I'm interesting in seeing how the game plays out on the map I created (well, more like "tweaked").

Ormuzd : was that the "Earth PBEM" where you took over the Aztecs from Dissident ? Or did we play some other game before that

Yeah, the Earth game

After this Eli crushed me while I have played on the place of some one else with Russia

And there was one more game where you were with the Persians, you have destroyed the greeks to the south of you and I played with the osmans. You have developed a huge empire and all of us decided you are the winner.

I think I have substuted in one more game where we were neighbours but this game was cancelled short after this.
