In most other democracy games, a lot of energy is wasted (IMHO) on deciding on names for cities and units.
Therefore, I propose the following system:
- We choose some kind of 'theme' for the city names
- Every member submits five city names that fit within this theme
- We make a list of all the names
- Every team member distributes the numbers 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, -5, -5, -5 over 10 different city names
- In this manner, every city gets a score
- We used the highest-scoring city name first, and so on
Maybe we should make one exception: our capital city.
We can do the same with units.
What do you think?

I like the naming format suggested. It's very fair and gets everyone a named city or five. But will we need that?
I do like to name my cities after the surrounding area. We could come up with a list of likely needed names though, and use these as the situation calls for them.
I do agree that we NOT waste much time on naming cities. When in doubt go with something. If we decide that the "City of Kittens" is a lame name - it can be changed.
I'll try to think up a list of names and submit them, but I don't think we need to rank them and assign points. If we had 40 people on this team - great idea.
Babylon must be the Capitol.

To himself:
*oh god! Do I do it now? YES DO IT. But they all seem to like the kitties. DO IT*
Um. I don't want to tick everyone off but the original way I wrote the post was...
If we decide that the "City of Kittens" is a lame name - it can be changed to "STIRFRY".
There I did it. I hate cats!

Cities:
Babylon (capital)
Inanna's Throne (capital ?)
City of Kittens (cuz that went over surprisingly well)
Babylonian Botanical Gardens & Research Center (name change after HG is built)
I do think that if we rename units that we keep the original unit name or abbreviation as a prefix. eg "Bowman-PavelTheUnimaginary"
