	Ministerial Positions Get a bigger avatar today!

Step up fellow Rowers

What elective Ministerial positions should we maintain? Everyone should be allocated a position, so let's get the right ones in place.

I'm thinking:

• Prime Minister (errr.....me?)
  
• Minister of War / Defence
  
• Foreign Minister (or Secretary of State for you Americans)
  
• Treasurer / Chancellor of the Exchequer
  
• Minister of the Interior
  
• Minister of Education and Industry (combined)

Sounds good. I would like to nominate myself for FO or MoW.

We might also consider a Vice-Leader to play when you cannot, possibly somebody from a different time zone.

I don't really believe I have the time to commit to an actual position.

My idea when joining this team was simply to put in some effort when and wherever I could.

That having been said, I do anticipate having some fun with this little adventure.

Well, with a small, and from the looks of it, pretty active, group, I'm sure we'll all be wearing several of the hats in actual deed. Since I plan on keeping our spreadsheet up to date, I'll volunteer for Minister of the Interior, but you've all got to preface my name with "The Right Reverend". If someone else wants that one, put me wherever a slot needs to be filled.

I will go ahead and nominate Aqualung for PM, the egotistical bastard.

Ok, so far we have (in no particular order )

Prime Minister and God ( ): Aqualung
Minister of Fun : Trip
Minister of the Interior / Economics (and presumably Religion): The Right Reverend Solomwi
Minister of War / Foreign Office / Chief Diplomacist: Moonbars
Government Consultant (ie, lazy bureaucrat): Sabrewolf
Minister of What Moonbars Already Picked: Masuro


I think upon reading the above list you will all agree that we've collectively made a pretty lame first attempt at assigning each other responbilities for our Cabinet.

This will not do!

The civilisation of The Desolation Row will be dominating this puny world. to do so, we must have a committed team of dangerous and aggressive thinkers covering all aspects of the governmental function.

So pull your collective fingers out and think about it again!

Well it's time to make at least one appointment - Foreign Minister.

On the basis that Moonbars nominated himself first for this office (and has already engaged in discussions with Team Euphorica) and Sabrewolf seconded him , I nominate him to take on the role of Foreign Minister.

Please add your comments, since we need to appoint the FM immediately, and notify the other teams as per the recent thread setup in the common forum and the email I forwarded to you all this morning.

Until now, a Prime Minister and a Foreign Minister have been sufficient. However, our Empire is on the brink of expansion, and I would therefore like to make some more specialist appointments.


I hereby nominate the Right Reverend Solomwi as Minister of Economics (or some other such suitable title).

I hereby nominate Professor Masuro as Minister of Science.


Solomwi - you also expressed interest in being Minister of the Interior. Perhaps you could provide us with your proposed job description for this role

Sabre, Trip, please let me know if and when you would like to apply for any position. Given your repective time constraints, there is no pressure to take up a formal position.
