Very nice. Much easier interface than mapquest or msn. Click-and-drag is awesome. Only complaint right off is the number of textboxes on the initial interface - it is not completely clear what is the difference between some.

Edit: Am I the only one surprised that I posted this before Asher did?

Hmm, Vancouver information is there - I guess Calgary just didn't make the significance radar. (Oh bummer, I failed to resist!)

Finally!

I've been waiting for an Internet mapping project as ambitious as this which would be backed by a corporation with very large bandwith resources for a long time... basically since the first days I were using the Internet (which would be around 1997).

Thumbs up to Google... I hope they'll be able to get the whole planet covered.

Their geography seems limited as there is suddenly nothing to the west of Alaska... but it's well done. Hope they can get the rest of the world covered soon.

It's looking good indeed, but it's a shame only the US (and a bit) is covered. I hope that improves.

The ones on the right? They're examples of what you could enter in the search box at the top, as the title "Example searches" above them suggests.

This is so fvcking cool! Very slick!

It feels like it's running on my machine rather than from a remote server. The number of images pre-rendered must be huge!

Mapquest must be thinking "we're totally screwed."
