Who cares what it is?

From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend;
the legend of Voltron, Defender of the Universe, a mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil.

The third round is a relatively low-key long range laser shootout. Momentum is on the Alliance's side however, as they proceed to the second half without taking a single hit.

Hercules lost all 17 torpedo frigates and all 15 torpedo dreadnaughts

Paddy lost 1 fighter cruiser and 5 fighter battleships, and took heavy damage to another fighter battleship.

Spaced Cowboy somehow escape unscathed.

Each of the victors bagged 19 bases.

I am still new to calculating battle outcomes.

How come in round 5 and 6 my torpedos are halved in value, persumably because of back off, whereas in round 1 and 2 LN's torpedos weren't halved. Similar circumstances apart from the Alliance not being spread out.

Torps are halved when the opponent is spread out, but the attacker himself can't do anything to affect their torpedo attack strength. In other words, back off or close in does not affect torpedo strength.

Also saw this in the rules.


Attacks with Fighters against Spread Out fleets are at x2, while Torpedoes get x0.5


Perhaps it needs just spelt out a little more, like you have done
