Only after fifty years. In the 1950s, it wasn't so clear cut. Rhee solidified his rule by slaughtering over 100,000 people. Up until the late 70s, the economy of the DPRK was better than that of the RoK. When given a choice of countries to claim citizenship from, the Koreans in Japan overwhelmingly chose to become North Koreans. Course, now they're stuck with that choice.

Well, in the U.S. (and territories that would become the U.S.), the Indian population went from an estimated 3 million in 1800 to a quarter million in 1900. Today the American Indian population stands around 1.5 million. Most of that decline was due to disease and starvation, but as we deliberately starved them, we're historically responsible for a lot of that death.

Sorry Ned, communism hasn't even come close to the level of death that capitalism has caused. In any given decade, capitalism kills off as many people as communism did from 1917 to present.
